Silvia Jason is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Texas, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, and a Certified Trauma Resolution Therapist.
She trained as a CSAT at the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals with Dr. Patrick Carnes, the leading expert in the field of Sexual Addiction. She currently serves on the Nomination Committee for the IITAP and also participates in the Professional Improvement Program, a professional mentoring program for therapists in the Sexual Addiction field led by Dr. Carnes.
Silvia Jason has also completed the Training Certification School in Etiotropic Trauma Management™ Trauma Resolution Therapy,™ receiving her professional training and certification from Mr. Jesse Collins, the author and developer of that treatment model, which has proven enormously effective in the treatment of trauma.
Silvia Jason was graduated with Honors from the University of Chile with both a degree and a license in Psychology. She studied and practiced psychology for several years in her native Chile, training as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the Chilean Institute of Family Therapy which is affiliated to the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York.
Her unique qualifications and training both in the United States and abroad have prompted Silvia Jason’s participation in and advocacy for the Federationof Internationally-Trained Psychologists, which promotes fair evaluation for psychologists living in the U.S. who have received their training elsewhere.
Silvia Jason’s professional affiliations include memberships in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health, and the Society for the Psychology of Women and the Chilean Psychological Association.
